Looks like Fido is now advertising the Samsung Gravity as ‘coming soon’. From all accounts I’ve read so far it looks like ‘coming soon’ (when translated) means March 16th

Over the weekend I heard rumblings that the BlackBerry Curve 8520 was indeed coming to WirelessWave. Sure enough, as soon as I checked the WirelessWave site this morning, there it was. The BlackBerry ( NSDQ: RIMM ) 8520 available in both Black and Lavender .

While these aren’t the touchscreen beauties we’ve heard about , it’s always worth noting when a carrier has something new to offer. In this case, it looks like we have some proof (via a FutureShop flyer) of the Samsung Flight and the Motorola ( NYSE: MOT ) ( NYSE: MOT ) W388, coming to Rogers ( NYSE: RCI ) ( NYSE: RCI ) and Fido respectively. The Samsung Flight features a look and form-factor strikingly similar to another popular device out on the market these days.

Fido Set to Launch the BlackBerry Curve 8520 Soon

Some quick Canadian BlackBerry ( NSDQ: RIMM ) news from Fido. From the sounds of things over at HowardForums , it looks like the BlackBerry Curve 8520 is set to hit Fido sometime in the first quarter of 2010. The 8520 will be available in Black only… No details on exact launch date or pricing, but the SKU has been loaded into Fido’s systems

Tuesday, July 28th, 2009A Canadian buffet of Rogers news today, with Q2 financial results, an update on the current out-of-stock situation at Rogers, Fido, and Apple Canada, and the beginning of an HSPA+ super-fast 3G rollout. First up, Bloomberg (via MDN ) reports that Rogers that ARPU (average revenue per user) was down $1.47 as customers curbed long-distance and travel, while total sales rose 3.1%. As to the iPhone in particular, the introduction of the iPhone 3GS and $99 price point for the iPhone 3G helped Rogers add 148,000 subscribers this quarter
