Seems like Rogers ( NYSE: RCI ) has been busy over the last little while. They’ve just launched the Samsung Galaxy ‘Spica’ powered-by Android 1.5, and late last week they also launched the new Rogers ‘RedBoard’ to help them connect with customers.

The Gowalla location-based check-in service that has been making the rounds on Android and iPhone is now available for webOS devices, like the Palm ( NSDQ: PALM ) Pre and Pixi. Anyone familiar with Foursquare will roughly know the shtick: go to a place, check in using a mobile app, and get rewards, both virtual and real. Gowalla differs in that instead of getting points for every check in, you get a badge, and specific locations have signature badges which are meant to lure folks out into noteworthy locations

Just one day after Google ( NSDQ: GOOG ) beefed up Android with an eye on gaming, Palm ( NSDQ: PALM ) introduced tools that could bring 3D graphics and improved performance to webOS applications. The company previewed its Plug-in Development Kit at CES earlier this year, and it finally made a beta version available to developers over the weekend. The PDK lets content creators use C and C++ programming to create webOS apps, which could potentially make it easier to port iPhone apps over (although many iPhone apps use Cocoa Touch)

When Samsung announced the Wave at Mobile World Congress a little over 3 weeks ago, one of the things, probably the only thing, that excited us about the new device was the “super OLED” display.

If you’re looking for an iPhone application to share photos across your social networks, you may want to give TweetPhoto a roll. The site just got an overhaul – which prominently features photos of the Full House cast – and this new iPhone app makes it pretty simple to share pictures across Twitter, MySpace, Facebook, or Foursquare accounts. I downloaded the free app TweetPhoto Pro and it looks pretty good: it has a clean interface that makes it quick to scan your friends’ photo streams, as well as public or popular photos
